All native fish caught during the McKenzie River Trout fishing trip must be released, whether they are rainbow, cutthroat or even bull trout. Hatchery fish may be kept for your enjoyment at lunch. You will be able to cast from a McKenzie River drift boat, which are specially designed for fly fishing and their comfortable ride. Generally one or two guests ride in each boat throughout the McKenzie River fly fishing trip. All McKenzie River fly fishing tackle is supplied.
Season for the best rainbow fishing is May through October.
Groups can be accommodated in several boats, which meet for a group lunch stop and fish fry along the river.
